  How to submit photos
for Classic Glass web pages

Pictures occupy such a big place in our Corvette adventures.  Here on the CGCC website, we have a Members Garage area where you can post pictures of your Corvette and, often, we publish photo essays documenting CGCC Events.  These pictures refresh and punctuate memories of events we attend -- and they provide a way for those whe were unable to attend to enjoy them with us.

I'm eager to put your photos on the website.  Here's the best way to submit photos for this purpose.

    1. Take digital photos

While you can snail-mail "chemical" photos to me to scan, it's so much more efficient to use digital photography.  I may be preaching to the choir here since almost everyone has a digital camera these days.

    2. Take digital photos using the highest resolution setting your camera can use

While I resize the photos appropriately for the web page, it helps a lot if I have a large image to work from.  So send them the bigger, the better.

    3. Don't send everyhing on your camera's memory card

I don't want 100 pictures to sift through; that's your job :)!  Just pick the shots you think will be most interesting and send them along; no more than 5-10 of your best shots.

    4. Include words describing the photo and the situation

Include names of people pictured if you can.

Send your photos to me as email attachments.  Even with the largest resolution photos, you should be able to attach 3-4 of them to an email without running into email size limitations.  If you do, just send them one at a time.

Send them to me by clicking and be sure to describe what you're sending.

NOTE: If you still have size problems with emailing your photos, I can accept them via FTP.  Just and I'll explain how.

Thanks, and ..

Keep wavin'!
