Jim & Cheryl Lyons' 2007 ConvertibleAnd we thought it couldn't get any better than the C5!We finally sprung for a C-6 and ended up with this triple black 2007 C6 convertible. Absolutely incredible. This picture was taken during our club cruise to the Warner-Robbins Air Museum. In the background is Jim's other favorite 'ride.' Both the convertible (present) and the Phantom (younger days LOL) are awesome "daily drivers!" The Corvette isn't quite capable of Mach 2 --- but it's a close second and cheaper to run! Car pooling in a Corvette ----now that's living! This is Jim's fourth and Sheryl's third Corvette. Jim's first Corvette was a War Bonnet yellow 1972 coupe which he bought fresh off the transporter ($5,993.00) and sincerely wishes he had kept. Ah, 20-20 hindsight! Jim never really 'owned' a Phantom but his Uncle Sam let him 'borrow' a few for cruising around during the Southeast Asia War Games. After a long, miserable, Corvette-less existence, we re-entered the Corvette world in 2004 with a 1995 C-4 coupe which served admirably over a year's cruise season and was replaced with a 2000 C5 pewter/gray convertible. The 2000 has found a happy home with another Corvette nut. So now we have owned a C3, C4, C5, C6 and Sheryl desperately wants to have a black or red C1 to call her own. Ah! That is the stuff pleasant dreams are made from! Keep cruisin' and wavin',
