This 1995 polo green
coupe is Tom and Susan Sauntry’s first Corvette.
Tom surprised Susan
with the car in August 2003, after getting four sons through college. Tom
swears he bought the Corvette for Susan, who has always wanted one. He says,
“It’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it!” The Corvette is their weekend fun car
and is stock. Tom is considering some minor mods to his, er, Susan’s car.
The Corvette puts
grins on both their faces every time
they start it up. “It was worth waiting 40 years for. And it won’t be our last
Corvette.” There’s even room in back (under the “Sky Dome”) for their two
miniature long-haired dachshunds, whose low center of gravity is of great
benefit in the car.
