Greg & Jane Fox's 1969 LeMans Blue Coupe and 2023 Rapid Blue Coupe

About a year out of college, I bought a 1976 Corvette Stingray coupe.  It was Bright Blue with a black interior.  I bought the car in 1982 at a dealership about a 40 minute drive from my hometown in Kentucky.  My Dad was with me (he passed away about six years ago) and we drove it back with the t-tops off.  That was such a cool experience to share with him, I will never forget it.

I was driving that car when I first met my wife.  It was the car we dated in.  Four of us would go out in it, she would be sitting on the console, another couple sitting in the passenger seat....those were the days right?

I got transferred to Atlanta about 350 miles away from my hometown in KY and started driving back every other weekend to see my wife (girlfriend/fiancé at the time).  The cost of gas got too much and traded the car in for a Toyota.

I've always loved that car and so, when I could afford it, I bought the '69 Corvette, which is actually a better car than the '76 I had back then.  I have always loved the chrome bumpers and wanted a C3 bumper car with manual trans and the same colors as the '76 I had back in the day.

When the C8s came out, I was already thinking about buying an exotic.  After looking around and reading up on the options, it just seemed obvious the C8 was the most car for the money by far.  I bought the 2023 C8, Rapid Blue with 3LT trim package in October 2022.  It is truly an amazing piece of machinery.  I wish I had the garage space for a C2 also!
