My love affair with Corvettes began in the late 60s as my friend and neighbor had a 1958 C1 Corvette which I rode with him to High School each day in Miami.

Having a family in the years that followed and other responsibilities dictated that owning one would have to wait.

Through the years the love of the car never wavered, having had an opportunity to get involved in SCCA racing in the Midwest where we lived at the time I was exposed once again to the Corvettes that were running in my Regional races.  Never forget SSGT C4s passing me at Lake Charles, Louisiana and seeing them disappear in the distance on the back straight.

Recently at the 20 year anniversary of Corvette Racing at the 2019 Sebring 12 hour, I had the opportunity to meet Ron Fellows and he shared that the first win for Corvette came at the Old Texas World Speedway, where he drove to that elusive victory that the program had battled for three long years of heartache and disappointment, a track I had raced on as well.  So in a strange way Corvettes have followed me around and been a part of my life to never forget that one day I would own one too.
