Bob & Sheila Catapano's 2008 Velocity Yellow Coupe

In July of 2020 I purchased this 2008 base Jetstream Blue Corvette from Copart in Savannah GA.  It had suffered a fatal collision to the front end crushing the left front of the car, bending both front wheels after bouncing off the median and then running off the road. After inspection, I rebuilt the complete front suspension: found two front fenders and inner fender wells, nose cover and hood at various parts suppliers. The car was tuned, exhaust installed and transmission upgraded.  Other tune items called for larger sway bars, Bilstein shocks and a severe lowering for Track events The car then spent the next few years on various tracks from Daytona, Road Atlanta to Carolina MotorSports Park. As the track days took their toll on the car it was time to do a facelift and some much needed repairs. This winter the car was dismantled, all body panels removed and repainted from its Jetstream Blue origins to 2008 Velocity Yellow today.
